  1. Hello Roger, in addition to Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve what national park do you recommend for bird watching in California?

  2. Sir,
I am 89 and enjoy photographing birds. I report to eBird at least one time each day. My usual birding gear is a Nikon D500 with a Nikkor 200-500 lens. You may want to see my work at eBird for Indian River County, FL and my Facebook page. I hope that you will use “birding” as the subject and send me an email.
    Regards,

  3. Hi,Dr. Lederer. I have long been a follower of yours from workshops to books, etc. as a teacher and someone who always to this day follows nature. I’ve been retired for some years, but still carry these interests. I am so pleased to see your assisted articles in the E-R this morning on the dragonflies and damselflies. I did a lot of insect study with my students (usually 3rd and 4th graders) and I so remember dealing with dragonflies and damselflies. I still get excited when I see them – usually on the golf course. I work on idenification for myself on dragonflies, but find it difficult. I have so hoped you would do books on such. Remember the starting one ( I call it that) that Gene Deady did?
Anyway, keep up the great resources for children and adults. Thanks.
